Born in Bologna in 1959, Roberto Marchesini is a philosopher, ethologist, and zooanthropologist. For more than twenty years he has carried out interdisciplinary research with the aim of redefining the role of animals in our society. He is the director of the Centre for Post-Humanist Studies and of the SIUA (School of Interaction Human-Animal) and has written about one hundred publications in fields such as Animal Bioethics, Cognitive Sciences and Post-Humanist Philosophy. In 2016, the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera included him among the ten Italians who are changing the world for his research in the field of zooanthropology.
