Ca’ Foscari gets involved in Soochow University’s second annual International Week

The second annual edition of the Soochow University International Week began on October 13 and over 2,000 professors, students and their families participated. This year, Soochow University invited more than 20 international partner universities from four continents to attend, Ca’ Foscari among them.

Prof. Lippiello speech

Vice Rector Tiziana Lippiello attended the event, and as a guest of honour, she was asked to address the crowd during the inauguration ceremony, which allowed her to describe the strategic collaboration currently underway between Soochow University and Ca’ Foscari, especially with regard to the Ca’ Foscari Suzhou Office’s presence on campus and the joint research that it helps the two institutions to carry out. Over the course of the day, those attending the event got the chance to explore the cultures and traditions of others. Ca’ Foscari’s stand was one of many dedicated to places as varied as New Zealand, France and Canada, and it was manned by Ca’ Foscari students currently on exchange in Suzhou. The stand offered ataste of such typical Italian products as wines, cantucci, and pastries made with Nutella, and allowed event participants to paint a Venetian mask. To entertain children, there were even two Ca’ Foscari students dressed in traditional Venetian costumes to give a sense of what Carnival is like.International stands
