Learning outcomes

The Master’s Degree programme forms specialists in the study of religious traditions who will have a solid understanding of both the socio-anthropological analysis and the textual sources, languages, historical events and cultures in which these traditions have been expressed and express themselves. The programme allows students to deepen their understanding of religions in the areas of the Mediterranean, the Middle East, India and Eastern Asia. Particular relevance is given to the philological-linguistic skills, necessary for direct reading of texts that will allow for the critical study of sources and an autonomous and astute understanding of a religious event.

Occupational profiles

Master’s Degree students will be able to work as social operators and experts in various sections of relations and interreligious communications, and pluri confessional social contexts, within public and private companies. They will be able to carry out roles of responsibility in study centres or research centres - italian or international - on the phenomenon of religion, religious publishing or in publishing houses with interests revolving around the field of religion; or in the institutes of religious science.
