Manuel Vilas, born in Barbastro in 1963, is a poet and a novelist. He has won numerous awards in Spain and his novels have been translated into many languages. The literary magazine Quimera has included his novel España (2008) among the ten most important Spanish novels of the first decade of the twenty-first century. His works are included in the main Spanish publications of poetry and fiction. Vilas writes regularly for the Spanish press. In tutto c’è stata bellezza (Guanda, 2019) is his first novel to be translated into Italian.
