Professor of Strategic and Digital Marketing
The course contributes to the educational objectives of the Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Digital Management which aims at providing students with updated knowledge on the implications of digital technologies on organizational processes and strategies. The course aims at providing the basic elements in terms of concepts, language and tools for marketing, with particular emphasis on digital aspects that characterize the current context.
Leonardo Buzzavo è Professore Associato di Imprenditorialità e Strategie presso il Dipartimento di Management dell’Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia, dove ha conseguito una Laurea con lode in Economia Aziendale nel 1994 ed un Dottorato di Ricerca in Economia Aziendale nel 1998. Ha vinto inoltre una borsa di studio di un anno accademico presso la University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).
Le sue aree di ricerca attuali riguardano principalmente innovazione strategica, modelli di business e imprenditorialità, pur mantenendo una certa attenzione alle dinamiche di trasformazione della filiera automobilistica di cui si è occupato per molto tempo. In passato si è occupato anche in misura significativa di lean production e lean thinking.
Dal 2010 al 2014 è stato delegato del Rettore alla valorizzazione del nome, della storia e degli spazi di Ca’ Foscari e Consigliere di Amministrazione della Fondazione Università Ca’ Foscari (www.fondazionecafoscari.it).
Ha coordinato l’avvio della nuova Associazione Ca’ Foscari Alumni (www.cafoscarialumni.it) di cui è attualmente Vice-Presidente, ed è ideatore e Director della Ca’ Foscari Digital Week (www.digitalweek.it) un evento che funge da piattaforma di relazione ed innovazione per l’Ateneo con l’esterno per esplorare l’impatto delle tecnologie digitali nell’economia, nella società e nella cultura. Nell’area delle pubblicazioni a carattere non scientifico ha contribuito al meta-romanzo “Le Aziende In-visibili” a cura di Marco Minghetti & the living mutants society (Ed. Scheiwiller, 2008) nel filone dello Humanistic Management; ha curato una raccolta di scritti di persone provenienti da vari ambiti della società e dal mondo delle imprese (Il secondo cassetto, Matteo Editore, 2007), con finalità sociale; ha prodotto il volume “Jorge Scassa – Mixed Media Art” imperniato sulle tecniche di digital painting edito da Matteo Editore nel 2007; ha contribuito a realizzare la guida Whaiwhai “Amor” per Verona.
Oltre alla madrelingua italiana parla inglese, portoghese, spagnolo e francese. Nel tempo libero suona il pianoforte, pratica canottaggio, si dedica a letture (prevalentemente temi di neuroscienze cognitive, antropologia culturale, processi creativi) ed ama viaggiare per esplorare nuovi contesti. Dal 2003 al 2009 ha partecipato negli anni dispari a quattro edizioni dell’evento Burning Man negli USA.
Professor of Organizing in a Digital World
The course will develop students’ understanding of organizational design and its challenge in companies involved in digital transformation. It will provide theoretical and practical knowledge on what organizational design is, which are the main decisions, organizational solutions at different levels of analysis and intervention.
Anna Comacchio, current Department of Management Director at Ca' Foscari University; PhD in Management - Ca' Foscari University -Venice, Italy, is full professor of Organization and Management at the Department of Management. She has been visiting Scholar at Centre of Corporate Strategy and Change- Warwick Business School - University of Warwick- UK. She is the director of the PHD program in Management of Ca’ Foscari University, where she teaches Organization Theory . She is the director of the new Bachelor degree in Digital Management - Ca' Foscari - H-Farm. She is member of the board of Harvard Ca' Foscari Summer School. Among her institutional assignments she was the director of the bachelor degree in Economics and management (entirely taught in english) Ca’ Foscari (2010-2013), and director the Master in Economics and tourism of Ca’ Foscari University (2003-2008), and rector delegate for internationalization (2011-2013). She was the Italian delegate of the Euram board (European Academy of Management) (2009-2012).
The course discusses the strategic implications of digital technologies. Specifically students will be guided in understanding and analyzing the discontinuities introduced by digital technologies in the formulation and execution of firm strategies.
Pietro Lanzini is Associate Professor at the Department of Management and member of the Steering Committee of CAMI - Center for Automotive and Mobility Innovation at Ca' Foscari University in Venice.
Pietro obtained a Ms (4 years) in Business Economics (2003) and a post- lauream Master cum laude (2006) at Bocconi University. From 2003 to 2009 he worked as Researcher at IEFE - Center for Research on Energy and Environmental Economics and Policy at Bocconi University. During this period he spent four months (2006-2007) working at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City (Department of Economic and Social Affairs). He has also been a member of staff at SPACE Bocconi - European Center for the Studies on Corporate Protection (2007) and he is advisor for the Fondazione Ambiente T. Fenoglio in Turin.
In 2009 he started a PhD programme (Full Scholarship) in Management and he gained his PhD - Doctor Europaeus from the Graduate School of Economics at Cà Foscari University. He spent one year at the University of Aarhus, Denmark, where he has also been involved in teaching activities.
Pietro’s research interests include a) consumer behavior in the field of sustainability, with a focus on mobility and on spillover-related phenomena; b) policies and organizational issues in mobility planning.
Pietro’s current network of co-authors and collaborators includes scholars from Ca' Foscari University, Bocconi University, Sant’Anna University and Brescia University in Italy, plus scholars from UDESC (Brazil) and Aarhus University (Denmark) abroad.
The course will discuss the processes through which innovative business models are developed and deployed, with reference to both cases of pure players and cases of digital transformation of brick and mortar businesses.

The course focuses on the inner topics that corporation and managers must deal with in using capital along with the main solutions that allow using it in order to create new value. The course aims to introduce the topic of management accounting focusing first on the new needs developed by the business digitalization. Create a Business Plan - 12 hours
The course will provide students with the skills and knowledge required to develop an effective business plan. It will be made of 7 interactive lectures and accompanied by a practical exercise. The course will include lessons on how to understand audiences and how to develop the necessary documents in order to present a project/business plan (marketing matrix, communication and number package).

Strategy & Innovation Culture H-FARM
After the master’s degree in Marketing and Communication I took part of the founder team of Zooppa.com the first European startup on user generated advertising. I worked in the business development of the startup and coordinated the Italian site until 2018, when I started to manage the open innovation projects in H-FARM team. Now my aim is to help corporates working with startups in an efficient and productive way showing how the technology impacts on the human life and on the organizations’ structure.
Project Management - 12 hours
During the course, students take part in lessons and workshops that provide them with an overview of the tools and methods available in order to manage a project efficiently. Students learn about Scrum, Kanban and project works.
Venture Capital - 12 hours
The course will provide students with the knowledge of the legal aspects related to venture capital operations. During the course, students will learn about the main elements of an investment process and they will analyze the key clauses related to a venture capital transaction. Students will also learn about the main tools to boost human capital, the key company structures and will hear first-hand the experience of a venture capitalist.

Andrea ha maturato una significativa esperienza in operazioni di M&A e di investimento, nazionali e cross-border, in operazioni di finanza straordinaria (sia in capitale di rischio sia di debito) e assiste regolarmente società quotate e non su tematiche di diritto societario, di corporate governance, nonché negli aspetti regolatori connessi all’attività bancaria e finanziaria.
Andrea rappresenta noti fondi di venture capital e private equity attivi nei settori high-tech e life science sia in operazioni di fund formation sia nelle operazioni di investimento, in ogni stadio di maturazione della società.
