Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs & Enterprise Europe Network
Over 10 years of activity in the Veneto region

Wednesday, November 13, 4-7 p.m.
M9 - Museum of the 20th century, Mestre

The Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs and the Enterprise Europe Network are two initiatives promoted by the European Commission to support entrepreneurship and offer new opportunities and services to entrepreneurs.

New entrepreneurs can take advantage of an exclusively dedicated cross-border exchange program: the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs offers new (or aspiring) entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn the tricks of the trade from established professionals who already manage small or medium enterprises located in one of the countries that take part in the program, all of this during a limited work period where they can acquire new skills and share knowledge on partnerships and markets. Entrepreneurs can then fully optimise their experience thanks to the numerous support services offered by the Enterprise Europe Network: advice on internationalisation processes, assistance on EU legislation, business development, innovation management and research into financial instruments and European initiatives to support their business.

Ten years after the launch of these two programmes, Unioncamere del Veneto, one of the main national players in the development of these projects, is celebrating this initiative with an event to present the achieved results and future prospects, involving the main stakeholders and entrepreneurs.

PIDday – Business and the Digital World

Thursday, November 14, 9 a.m. - 6.30 p.m.
M9 - Museum of the 20th century, Mestre

At the end of 2018, Ca' Foscari and the Chamber of Commerce of Venice Rovigo partnered up to launch PIDVeRo - Punto Impresa Digitale Venezia Rovigo: a training and mentoring project for micro, small and medium enterprises in the main supply chains of the territory. The project aimed to accompany them in their digital transformation and get them acquainted with the most suitable tools for each of them to become more competitive.

The results of the initiative - which involved 78 local SMEs, together with a group of Ca’ Foscari felows and researchers from the Management and IT areas - will be presented during the Venice Innovation Week. This will be an opportunity to discuss the ways in which business models and technologies of industry 4.0 can help solve critical issues and provide new opportunities for development, and to engage in a deeper reflection about the economic and ethical value of business digitization.

In addition to the SMEs - the true protagonists of the project - the event will involve the participation of national and international experts in digitization, as well as professionals in processes, communicatio and skills for business transformation. A section of the event will be dedicated to a selection of digital companies that are going to present their work and expertise, with dedicated informal b2b moments with trade associations, investors and other companies in north-eastern Italy.

In collaboration with the Venice-Rovigo Chamber of Commerce and the Ca' Foscari University Foundation.
