Boris Chersonskij

Boris Chersonskij is a poet, translator and professor of Clinical Psychology. He took his degree from the Medical Institute of Odessa in 1974 and has been working in Odessa since then.
In his youth he took part in dissident movements for a few years and collaborated with emigre press such as “Novoe russkoe slovo” and radio “Svoboda”. In 2006 he published his first poetry book “Family Archive” followed in 2008 by “Under Construction” and “Out of Fence”. In 2009 he collected his poems about Italy in “Marble Sheet”. He is the winner of numerous literary awards, among which the Joseph Brosky Foundation Prize in 2008. In 2010 he won the special prize “Literaris” in Austria. In 2022 Marsilio Editori published a collection of his poems “Il mondo in frantumi” (“The world in fragments”) edited by Claudia Scandura.
