Werner Herzog

Werner Herzog was born in Munich in 1942. He studied History and Literature in Munich and Pittsburgh. Since 1962 he has been working as a movie director, becoming one of the most important film authors worldwide. Among his most famous films: ”Aguirre, the roth of God” (1972), “Nosferatu, the vampyre” (1979), “Fitzcarraldo” (1982), “Scream of stone” (1991), “Invincible” (2001), “Grizzly Man” (2005), “Encounters at the end of the world” (2007), “Cave of forgotten dreams” (2010), “Into the Inferno” (2016), “Nomad: In the footsteps of Bruce Chatwin (2019), “Family Romance, LLC” (2019). He’s also the author of important books such as “Of walking in Ice” (“Vom Gehen im Eis”), “Conquest of the useless” (“Eroberung des Nutzlosen”) and the recent “The twilight world” (“Das Dämmern der Welt Welt”).
