Carmen Pellegrino

Carmen Pellegrino is a writer and historian. She investigated some of the relevant knots of modernity and focused her studies on collective dissident movements, racism and social exclusion. Pellegrino is co-author of various collective works and with her first novel “The earth falls” (“Cade la terra”, 2015), won the Rapallo Carige Opera Prima. Her second novel “If you came to me tonight” (“Se mi tornassi questa sera accanto”, 2017)  won the Dessì award. Among Pellegrino’s most recent research topics is the issue of uninhabited villages and ruins of ancient settlements. Her novel “Other people's happiness” (“La felicità degli altri”, 2021) won the Latisana Prize and was shortlisted for The Campiello Prize.
