Organization

At the forefront of tourism research

Ciset is a non-profit private association with three main bodies:

The Assembly, today composed of the two founding members: Ca' Foscari University of Venice and the Veneto Region.

The Administrative Board, presided over by the Dean of Ca’ Foscari University, Prof. Michele Bugliesi.

The Scientific Committee, whose members include renowned international experts: Peter Keller, Scott Meis and Antonio Massieu.

Ciset is a member of the Business Council of UNWTO (United Nations’ World Tourism Organization) and is also a founder member of INRouTe, a network of international experts that supports UNWTO and other bodies, as well as tourism destinations, developing tools to measure tourism activity with the aim of formulating more efficient policies.

Ciset has a long-standing relationship with the Bank of Italy, and as a partner, collaborated on the development of a survey on inbound and outbound tourism in Italy.

Ciset members are also present in a number of international organizations whose study focus is the world of tourism in order to support policy-making and development.
