The University allows staff and entitled users remote access to University libraries' e-resources (like databases, e-journals and e-books) and to some internal services.

University VPN enables users to access different University resources using different VPN profiles.

Who can access the University VPN?

Professors, researchers, staff (PTA), CELs and students are automatically enabled to the VPN profile for bibliographic resources.

People who work with the University, both in teaching/research activities or in business activities, and need access to the University VPN must  request an account [ITA] via the online form first.

How to access University VPN

To access the University VPN you need to configure your device following the instructions below, picking the one suited for your Operating System.

If you need a specific VPN profile (e.g. the Research one), the person of the University staff in charge for the project must ask for it using the University ticketing system [ITA], the request must include the name of the project and the UNIVE account for which the access is requested.

VDI for technical and administrative staff 
Virtual Desktop Infrastructure

The technical and administrative staff (PTA), for his everyday duty, should use the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure provided by the University. This does not need any VPN configuration.
