Transfers to Ca' Foscari from another University

If you intend to transfer to Ca' Foscari, you will need to ask for an assessment of your previous studies. The procedure involves the following phases:

  • registration on the University website;
  • eventual recognition of your credits;
  • in case of transfers to the subsequent years limited admission degree programmes, request of  place allocation and request for permission from the Enrollment Unit;
  • submission of transfer procedure to the University where you are currently enrolled, taking into account processing times of University of origin as well as of Ca’ Foscari;
  • finalization of enrollment at Ca' Foscari.

Enrolment

You can only transfer to a limited access degree programme after your first year and subject to availability of places.

In the case of Master’s degree programmes, you may only transfer if you meet both the general entry and subject-specific academic requirements. Entry requirements are listed on the webpage for each degree programme. On this page you can also find procedures and deadlines for assessment of eligibility.

Students who attained their qualifications abroad must get their qualifications pre-assessed: the necessary information can be found on the relevant webpage.

All the relevant information regarding entry requirement, enrolment procedures, deadlines and recognition of credits is available on the specific pages dedicated to specific degree programmes using the menu Enrol>Admission.

Open Admission Degree Programmes

  • submission of transfer request to the University where you are currently enrolled: from July 1st to October 30th 2024;
  • recognition of credits required at the Didactic Campus/Secretary: by December 3rd 2024;
  • enrolment at Ca' Foscari: by  December 17th 2024, according to the procedures communicated to you by the Enrollment Unit.

Limited Admission Degree Programmes

  • recognition of credits required at the Didactic Campus/Secretary:

    • First session: by June 25th 2024;
    • Second session: by August 19th 2024;

  • request of place allocation:

    • First session: from July 9th to July 11th 2024;
    • Second session: from August 27th to August 29th 2024;

  • submission of transfer request to the University where you are currently enrolled: by October 30th 2024;
  • finalization of enrollment at Ca' Foscari: by December 17th 2024, according to the procedures communicated to you by the Enrollment Unit.

Subsidies and financial Aid

If you wish to receive forms of financial aid (such as the reduction of tuition fees and/or a scholarship) you should read the regulations on the relative web page and then contact the Financial Aid unit to request a consultation once you have obtained the recognition of your credits and before proceeding with your transfer request.

This will help you to decide whether in order to continue your studies at Ca’ Foscari you should continue with your transfer application or whether it would cost less to withdraw from your University of origin and re-enrol at our University with recognition of credits.
