A celebration of the poetry of Azerbaijani poet Imadaddin Nasimi

Organized and chaired by Prof. Carlo Frappi, the event was introduced by H.E. Mammad Ahmadzada, Azerbaijian’s Ambassador in Italy. The presentation of the book, published by Sandro Teti Editore, involved the participation of Ca’ Foscari’s own Turkish studies expert, Prof. Giampiero Bellingeri, as well as that of Gunay Afandiyeva (President of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation) and Aliya Aghazada (Deputy Director of the Azerbaijan International Development Agency – AIDA). Reflections on the author, his life and his works were followed by the reading of selected poems by Professor Bellingeri and the renowned Azerbaijani artist Mehriban Zaki.
