Edizioni Ca' Foscari publishes the twelfth volume of the "Eurasiatica" Series

The new volume includes a range of essays on philological, historical, economic and political themes, exploring the Eurasian region's rich cultural traditions as well as its ever-growing importance on the contemporary political stage.

On October 17 a new volume of the Eurasiatica was released by Edizioni Ca' Foscari, the university's publisher. The volume, which was edited by Giorgio Comai, Carlo Frappi, Giovanni Pedrini and Elena Rova, gathers essays dedicated to the study of the Caucasus and Central Asia and reflects the main avenues of the research explored in recent years by Italian and international scholars. Consistent with the scope of the series, which provides a channel for communicating high-quality work in various research fields, the newly published volume includes philological, historical, economic and political articles, addressing various issues regarding the Eurasian region's rich cultural traditions as well as its ever-growing importance on the contemporary political stage.

The volume, which can be downloaded for free, includes a special section dedicated to archaeology in the southern Caucasus as well as an essay entitled "Creative diplomacy at the service of niche strategies of a small power Humanitarian: The diplomacy of Azerbaijan" by Carlo Frappi and an essay by Alessandro Goffi entitled "Russisms in the Azerbaijani and Kalmyk languages: A comparative analysis".
