Teaching is one of the similar / integrative teachings for the minor Global Asian Studies.

- to know and understand concepts and tools of cultural anthropology in an inter-disciplinary perspective.
- be able to analyze and interpret case studies using concepts of cultural anthropology
- knowing how to elaborate critical judgments on cultural and social phenomena using well-documented arguments

Il corso, organizzato in forma di laboratorio, completa il percorso formativo triennale valorizzando in una prospettiva interdisciplinare le conoscenze di base acquisite dagli studenti nelle diverse materie del minor. Il docente propone lo studio di casi specifici, rappresentativi delle trasformazioni socioeconomiche, politiche e culturali in corso nelle diverse realtà dell’Asia contemporanea. L’analisi è condotta attraverso discussioni, ricerche individuali e progetti di gruppo coordinati dal docente.
Written and oral exam divided into three parts:

- preparation of a series of comprehension sheets of excerpts from articles, monographs and collections of anthropological essays, (laboratory on the text).

- mid-term test: video presentation of a research developed by the student

- Debates and discussant group
