The course aims to provide concepts and tools for understanding the impact of new information and communication technologies on enterprise business models and key business functions. Lectures cover a wide range of topics, from the role of the web in the relationship between business and consumer to the opportunities offered by e-commerce, from the importance of search engines to the consequences of key 4.0 technologies (virtual reality and artificial intelligence).
The course aims to provide effective tools for understanding the opportunities made available to businesses by the evolving technological scenario and for designing the digital transformation of existing businesses as well as possible start-ups.

1. The rules of the new economy
2. Online communities and the new relationship between firms and consumers
3. E-commerce: numbers and strategies
4. Platform economy
5. Industry 4.0 e the digital frontiers: metaverse and artificial intelligence
The course content is constantly evolving, which prevents the adoption of a single textbook.
