Chiara Renzo is postdoctoral fellow at Ca' Foscari University (Department of Asian and North African Studies) where she is working on the research project "Colonialism and the Jews: the Italian case". She is also adjuct professor at the University of Florence where she teaches Social History of Communication (Migration and Media). 

She hold a PhD in History from the join doctoral program of the Universities of Florence and Siena, defending a dissertation entitled “Where Shall I Go? Jewish Displaced Persons in Italy 1943-1951”. Her project was supported by the Claims Conference Saul Kagan Fellowship for Advanced Shoah Studies. As a doctoral student she was Visiting Research Fellow at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, EHRI Fellow at the Wiener Library in London and PhD Visiting Fellow at Yad Vashem International Institute for Holocaust Research in Jerusalem.

Chiara has been postdoctoral fellow at the University of Florence (2020-2022), Rothschild Foundation Ha-Nadiv Europe Postdoctoral Fellow at Ca’ Foscari (2017-2019), Fellow at the Centre de Recherche Français in Jerusalem (2018) and Baron Friedrich Carl von Oppenheim Chair for the Study of Racism, Antisemitism, and the Holocaust Postdoctoral Fellow at Yad Vashem International Institute for Holocaust Research (2019).
