The construction process of the Unified Information System of Basins and Water in Mexico (SIUCAM), a tool for the different hydro-social actors.
14 May 2025, 1PM CEST
Sala Sarpellon, Ca’ Bembo

The recovery process of Lake Tláhuac-Xico is more than a decade old. Previous experiences and attempts have failed in that they have deliberately or unintentionally omitted local stakeholders in their planning, design and possible implementation. On the other hand, the Unified Information System of Basins and Water in Mexico (SIUCAM) is an initiative within the National Strategic Programmes of the Government of Mexico that seeks to make available general water information based on cooperative and multi-stakeholder processes, including public, private, and academic actors. The presentation will articulate the public information in the framework of SIUCAM as an input to encourage cooperation processes and citizen participation of the Tláhuac ejidatarios for the recovery of Lake Tláhuac-Xico in Mexico.
