The conference  "Memory Practices. Post-Socialist Transitions in Eastern Europe" aims to investigate contemporary collective memories in Eastern European countries. The contributions explore to what extent it is useful, reasonable, and possible to conceive a common East-European framework for legal practices, politics of remembrance, and popular elaborations of the past.
