Call for Papers
To mark the 120th anniversary of his birth, Dino Buzzati (1906–1972) continues to exert considerable international literary and artistic influence through translations, film adaptations, comics, and theatrical performances. With the aim of assessing the ongoing presence of Buzzati in contemporary scholarly debate, a joint conference has been organized by Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, in collaboration with the International Dino Buzzati Association. Contributions may focus on Buzzati’s literary and artistic production, on the ways in which his work has inspired other authors, and on its influence on literary interpretation and socio political thought.
Scholars, doctoral candidates, and independent researchers are invited to submit a proposal to infocentrostudi@buzzati.it including: paper title, selected theme, abstract (250 words), and a brief CV. Applicants may indicate their preferred venue.

Registration Fee: €30 for non-tenured / independent participants; €60 for tenured / institutional participants
