Histories and Futures of the World Order

Sala Berengo - Ca’ Foscari

Professor Clavin's research focuses on the history of international and transnational relations in the Twentieth Century. Currently she is examining human security, strongly tied to questions of food security. In particular when, and in what ways, do people begin to conceive of a ‘global food system’, why, and with what results. She has put together a global network of researchers on the topic 'Sustainable Pasts and Resilient Futures', and is also working on a project entitled 'Histories and Futures of Global Order' which includes an explicit strand on ideas and practices of Food Security in relation to International and Non-Governmental Institutions in the 20th and 21st Century.
