Mobility and Transport Solutions for Societal Challenges

The Venice School of Management (VSM) and the Center for Automotive and Mobility Innovation (CAMI) of Ca' Foscari University of Venice invite scholars and researchers to participate in the conference Mobility and Transport Solutions for Societal Challenges, taking place in Venice (Italy) on 15–16 October 2026.

The conference will focus on policies, innovative solutions, and business models addressing key societal challenges in the field of mobility and transport.

The programme will be organised around three main thematic tracks:

• Policies
accessibility for social inclusion and cohesion; active mobility; first- and last-mile interconnectivity; gender-sensitive mobility; smart working and mobility; individual behaviours and soft measures; carbon footprint reduction; multimodal transport integration and accessibility; public perception of mobility transitions; urban infrastructures for sustainable mobility solutions.

• Innovation
15-minute cities; AI and machine learning in mobility planning and management; Avoid-Shift-Improve approaches; big data and open data management in smart mobility; energy efficiency in transport; geo-spatial data for mobility management and planning; micro-mobility solutions.

• Business models
autonomous vehicles business ecosystems; corporate mobility management; digital ticketing and payment systems; first-last mile business opportunities; MaaS, ride-sharing, and mobility on demand; public-private partnerships; recharging and battery swap solutions.
