This seminar will focus on two main axes: on the one hand, women as philosophical objects, and on the other, women as subjects of philosophy during early modernity (16th-18th centuries). 1/ And philosophy created woman. 2/ And woman created philosophy.

The seminar will be held in a virtual format in French and/or English, from September to June. At each session, we will welcome researchers presenting the latest developments in their work. We will also invite doctoral students working on the seminar’s theme to present their ongoing research.
