Symposium on social defence: the Changing Landscape of the Criminal Question

The symposium on social defence, The Changing Landscape of the Criminal Question, brings together inquiries into punishment in Cuba, Argentina, Brazil, the former Yugoslavia, and Western Europe, with the aim of beginning to chart the journey of social defence theories and, ultimately, to understand contemporary punitive reason, namely how and why punishment has become the main response to a growing set of societal issues.
