Abstract:
From the selection to the arrival at Concordia base, from the first steps on the ice to the suspended flights, from the return of the sun to the last farewell. A short journey, a story, a chat about the difficulties and technical aspects that often take a back seat during months without light, problems to solve, instruments to make work. An opportunity to learn what you can't find on the web but can find in the words of those who have lived an experience outside the comfort zone.

Bio Sketch:
Gabriele Carugati, degree in Environmental Sciences, PhD in Chemical Sciences, post-doc focused on the development of techniques for environmental sampling and analysis of trace and ultra-trace metals.
