ENERGYA 2nd scientific workshop - Frontiers in climate change adaptation

Meeting Room 1, Plesso A, Campus Economico San Giobbe

Billions of people are increasingly exposed to unbearable heat. Although everyone is affected by climate change, not everyone suffers in the same way, with disadvantaged people being the most vulnerable. Climate change is unfolding in a world that is undergoing some of the most rapid and significant societal and environmental changes in decades, including rising inequalities due to poverty, an unexpected pandemic, social unrests, and conflicts. The workshop “Frontiers in climate change adaptation” brings together empirical and modelling methodological approaches that can contribute to advancing our knowledge on climate adaptation. Three scientific sessions will cover the topics of climate adaptation, energy, health, energy poverty. A co-creation lab will be open to students interested in engaging in the design of a public engagement activity for a photographic exhibition that will open to the public on May 19th, 2023, at Cortile grande Ca’ Foscari and CFZ Zattere. The photo exhibition by Gaia Squarci - The Cooling Solution - funded by the ENERGYA project, will showcase stories about adaptation and lack of adaptation.
