PhD Spring School "SSSC 2026 - Smart Sustainable Systems in Chemistry"

Conference Room Orio Zanetto, Scientific Campus

This year’s PhD Spring School program is designed to provide advanced methodological tools to navigate the complexities of sustainable chemistry, focusing specifically on the synergy between experimental design and multivariate data processing.

Registration Deadline: March 9th 2026

Program Highlights:

  • Day 1 (April 8th): Theoretical foundations with keynote lectures by Prof. Alessandro Ulrici (Design of Experiments) and Prof. Paolo Oliveri (Multivariate processing of chemical data).
  • Afternoon Workshop: A hands-on session led by Dr. Enmanuel Cruz Muñoz and Prof. Heiko Lange, where students will work in groups to apply DoE and multivariate analysis concepts directly to specific research topics.
  • Day 2 (April 9th): Student group presentations and the Award Ceremony for the best work performed during the workshop.

Meet the Faculty:

  • Claudia Crestini, PhD Coordinator & Expert in Sustainable Chemistry
  • Alessandro Ulrici, Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia, Specialist  in Chemometrics & Experimental Design
  • Paolo Oliveri, Università degli studi di Genova, Expert in Multivariate Data  Analysis
  • Heiko Lange, Università degli studi di Milano Bicocca, Coordinator for Applied Research & Hands-on Training
