Short-term loans
Ca’ Foscari has agreements with two different banks giving students the opportunity to find the best way to pay their university fees. Begin repayment a year after graduation or opt for repayment of an unsecured loan in instalments. Two different loan options allowing you to plan your future with greater freedom.
Agreements with BNL and Intesa Sanpaolo – available for all degree programmes – give students a hand in bearing the costs of either a university (Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree) or postgraduate education (Professional Master’s Programme or PhD Programme).
Financial Aid
Every year since AY 2012/2013 Ca’ Foscari has renewed its agreement with Intesa Sanpaolo, which offers loans to all students enrolled in a study programme at Ca' Foscari (bachelor’s degree programme, master's degree programme, professional master’s programme or PhD programme).
The agreement with Intesa Sanpaolo
Ca' Foscari has continued its collaboration with Intesa Sanpaolo, which offers a current account to new students or enrolled students meeting the requirements meeting the requirements of their study programme according to the criteria laid down by the University.
The maximum loan rates, granted according to the type of programme and year of enrolment, are laid out in the table below:
Maximum loan rate
Type of programme | Maximum duration of loan | Amount of single instalment | Max no. of instalments | Total amount of loan |
---|---|---|---|---|
Bachelor’s degree programme | 5ì3 years* | EUR 4,000.00 | up to 3 | EUR 12,000.00 |

This service is available to new students as well as to student already enrolled.

- advance payment by the bank of the tuition fees for your chosen study programme;
- repayment of the advance either by the end of September the year after graduating, interest free, or over five years after graduating in instalments at a subsidised rate;
- repayment of instalments from the year after your graduation onwards;
- access to a current account with particularly favourable terms, debit card, home banking and prepaid card;
- an electronic credit card allowing you to pay for purchases using your phone.
Useful information: according to Almalaurea data, one year after graduation 78% of graduates have either found a job (50%) or chosen to continue their studies (28%); the figure is 71% in the case of MA graduates.
How does it work?
To access advance payment of tuition fees, you must be either a new student or an already enrolled student at Ca’ Foscari meeting the requirements of your study programme according to the regulations laid down by the University and listed below.
Payment of tuition fees is guaranteed for:
- Bachelor’s degree programmes: maximum funding period is 3 years
- Master’s degree programme: maximum funding period is 2 years
- Bachelor's + Master's degree programme: maximum funding period is 5 years
You can pay back the advance, interest free, by the end of September the year after graduating, or a year after graduating in the academic year in which a pre-amortization is scheduled, or in instalments over a five-year period.
If you decide to enrol in a master’s degree programme after graduating, you can request an extension of the advance payment of tuition fees provided that you enrol in the academic year immediately after obtaining your bachelor’s degree.
No security or personal guarantee is required.
Just one click to request an advance payment of your tuition fees
If you are enrolling in your first year you can request advance payment of your tuition fees when you complete the online pre-enrolment procedure provided you meet the merit requirements. After completing the online pre-enrolment procedure you can book an appointment at the Financial Aid Unit where you will finalise your request and receive all the necessary information about this initiative.
If you are re-enrolling at Ca’ Foscari, and meet the merit requirements, you can also request advance payment of your tuition fees at the start of every new academic year by booking an appointment at the Financial Aid Unit.
How does the advance Payment take place?
The bank makes an advance payment of your tuition fees directly to the university in yearly instalments, after checking that all requirements have been met. You will not be required to do anything.
Should you fail to meet the requirements and the instalment is not paid, you will be given a grace period of up to a year. At the time of the next check, if you meet the requirements, the bank will pay the following instalment.
Basically, the bank will pay an instalment of your tuition fees every year provided you meet the requirements that year. If you fail to meet the requirements, you will lose the right to have your tuition fees paid that year, but you will be given a grace period of one year and the opportunity to obtain funding the following year provided you manage to meet the merit requirements.
