International English Language Testing System – IELTS

Since 2022 the CLA has been an official examination centre for IELTS, the most prestigious international English language certification, recognised worldwide by over 11,000 organisations including educational establishments, governments and professional bodies, as well as being the most widely accepted qualification in academia.

The authorisation of the CLA as an IELTS centre is a result of an agreement with the British Council, the UK's organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities, a world leader in the awarding of language certification. Approval of Ca' Foscari University and the Language Centre (CLA) by the British Council shows that the high standard of necessary requirements is reached. 

The IELTS examination can be taken at the CLA, not only by Ca'Foscari students, but also by high school students, who are increasingly aware of the value of this internationally recognised language certification.

Servicio Internacional de Evaluación de la Lengua Española – SIELE

In 2023 the CLA officially became an official provider of the SIELE International Spanish language certification. This is one of the best-known and prestigious language certifications, recognized worldwide and with more than 60 associated universities in 19 countries worldwide.

Il Servicio Internacional de Evaluación de la Lengua Española – SIELE –  is designed, managed and promoted by the Instituto Cervantes, by the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, by the Universidad de Salamanca and by the Universidad de Buenos Aires. These bodies guarantee not only scientific excellence but also attention to the multiple language varieties of Spanish.

The opportunity to take part in SIELE is offered not just to the Ca’ Foscari community but is also open to high-school students, who are ever more aware of the value of these internationally recognised certifications of language ability, as well as to anyone who is interested in having or requiring a certificate acknowledged and marketable on a world scale.
