Double Degree with College of Humanities, Seoul National University

The new Double Degree Programme between Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and the College of Humanities, Seoul National University, is active starting from the a.y. 2023/2024.

The Programme offers students enrolled in the Master’s Degree Programme in Language and Civilisation of Asia and Mediterranean Africa (LICAAM) - curriculum Korea at Ca' Foscari University the opportunity to follow an international course of study, attending the second year’s courses at the partner University and obtaining the degree from both Universities.

At the end of their studies, students will obtain a double degree: 

• Master's Degree in Language and Civilisation of Asia and Mediterranean Africa from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice;

• Master of Arts in Korean Studies from the College of Humanities of Seoul National University.

Admission requirements

The programme is reserved to students regularly enrolled to the Master’s Degree in Language and Civilisation of Asia and Mediterranean Africa (LICAAM) - curriculum Korea, of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.

How to apply

To be able to participate in the selection process, it is necessary to apply following the procedures and deadlines reported in the call for applications, published annually.

Study period abroad

The program envisages a mobility period at the partner University of one academic year, during the second year of the Master’s Degree. 

Students will be contacted by the staff of the Welcome Unit for information regarding the procedures to be carried out before, during and after the mobility.

Information about scholarship possibilities can be found in the call for applications.

All students are required to submit a Learning Agreement listing all academic activities to be carried out abroad that will be recognized in their study plan at the end of the study period.

Graduation

Students are required to present the final thesis according to the procedures and deadlines set by the partner University. 

A mixed commission will be assembled, where the presence of the student’s Home University will be assured (either in person or online), who will participate in the final score assignment. 

After graduating from Ca' Foscari, students can request the issuance of their Korean diploma. Both qualifications will be legally recognized in the countries of issuance.
