Study plan

The study plan (academic curriculum) is the complete list of the academic activities that students must complete in order to fulfil the degree programme requirements.
The attendance plan is the total list of courses available to the student according to their year of studies.

The teaching regulations of the study course depend on the following organisational aspects: educational goals, access methods, study plan, exams, final exam, job opportunities, etc. Throughout their university career, students must refer to the teaching regulations enforced from their matriculation.

Degree Programme regulations for the study plan

Free-choice exams and additional classes

The teaching committee will verify the consistency of free-choice learning activities with the student’s formative project. Consistency refers to each student’s individual curriculum and will thus be evaluated taking into account any reasons that may be provided. If there is evidence of serious inconsistency, the personal curriculum will not be approved. All learning activities included in the suggestions on the web page of the Degree Programme, as well as the learning activities offered in the Bachelor Degree Programmes belonging to the field of Economics (having both English or Italian as a teaching language), will be considered coherent without additional verifications. Students are invited to consult the attendance plan pertaining to their year of matriculation.

Identical units

You cannot choose similar units, meaning courses which are comparable in content, in the same study plan.

Examples of units that are considered too similar:

  1. Business Law (ET2001) 6 ECTS, Commercial Law I (ET0009) 6ECTS, Commercial Law II (E0077) 6 ECTS
  2. Mathematics (ET0045) 12 ECTS, Mathematics (ET2018) 12 ECTS
  3. Political Economics 1-2 (ET0031) 12 ECTS, Political Economics (LT0210) 6 ECTS
  4. Human Resource Management (ET0037) 6 ECTS, Human Resource Management (ET2008) 6 ECTS

Procedure to include non-Economics courses in the study plan

To regulate the addition in the study plan of learning activities outside the field of Economics through free-choice exams, the teaching committee has defined the following procedure:

  • students can, upon authorization, include in their study plan learning activities outside the field of Economics, as part of their free-choice exams.
  • the request for authorization must be sent via email by 31st January to the Campus Services Secretary Office (campus.economico@unive.it), who will send the proposal to the coordinator of the degree programme.
  • the request should be adequately explained through a brief document (max. 2 pages) attached to the email.
  • the teaching committee examines the request and its consistency with the student’s study plan.
  • the outcome of the evaluation is sent to the Secretary of the Economic Campus who will then send it to the student and, if authorized, will manually process the addition to the student’s personal curriculum.
  • students have the possibility to include additional classes in their study plan, offered in the Bachelor Degree Programmes of other disciplinary fields. In the case of additional ECTS the request of integration must not be approved by the teaching committee of the programme.
