The study plan (academic curriculum) is the complete list of the academic activities that students must complete in order to fulfil the degree programme requirements.
The attendance plan is the total list of courses available to the student according to their year of studies.

Degree programme regulations for the study plan

Free-choice exams and additional classes

For your free-choice exams you may select:

• Learning activities from your Master's Degree Programme. You can choose from the courses available in the clusters (excluding those already selected in your study plan) or from those offered as free-choice options_;
• Learning activities from Master's Degree Programmes in the field of Economics (i.e. all courses offered by the Venice School of Management or the Department of Economics).

The teaching committee will verify the consistency of free-choice learning activities with the student’s formative project. Consistency refers to each student’s individual curriculum and will thus be evaluated taking into account any reasons that may be provided. If there is evidence of serious inconsistency, the personal curriculum will not be approved. All learning activities included in the suggestions on the web page of the Degree Programme, as well as the learning activities offered in the Master’s Degree Programmes belonging to the field of Economics, will be considered coherent without additional verifications. Students are invited to consult the attendance plan pertaining to their year of matriculation.

To include in your study plan free-choice exams outside the field of Economics, please refer to the procedure explained below.

Procedure to include non-Economics courses in the study plan

• Students can, upon authorization, include in their study plan learning activities outside the field of Economics, as part of their free-choice exams. The learning activities in question must be coherent with the student’s study plan.
• The request for authorization should be sent via email by 31st January to the Campus Services Secretary Office (campus.economico@unive.it), which will forward the proposal to the coordinator of the degree programme.
• The request should be adequately explained through a brief document (max. 2 pages) attached to the email.
• The teaching committee examines the request and its consistency with the student’s study plan.
• The outcome of the evaluation is sent to the Secretary of the Economic Campus who will then send it to the student via email and, if authorized, will manually add the requested learning activities to the student’s personal curriculum.

In addition to the norms valid for the field of Economics and to the regulations defined above, it should also be noted that students have the possibility to include additional classes in their study plan, offered in the Master’s Degree Programmes of other disciplinary fields. In the case of additional ECTS, the request of integration must not be approved by the teaching committee of the programme.

Corresponding courses

Students are not allowed to include in their study plan corresponding courses, namely the courses that repeat (even partially) the contents of a learning activity already included in their curriculum.
By way of example, the following courses are considered repetitions:
