Admission procedure

Requirements for maintaining college status

Each student must meet specific requirements to maintain their status as a College student and gain admission to the following academic year.

During their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program, College students also undertake a mandatory mobility period.

The assessment of these requirements takes place every year in July (and in September for students in their final year ).  Students who meet the requirements receive the College Diploma upon completion of the programme,  which validates their multidisciplinary academic background.

The requirements are as follows:

  • At least 42 university credits (CFU) from your degree programme acquired between September and June.
  • Cumulative weighted GPA no lower than the  top 75% of the GPA distribution for your degree programme (please refer to the "Merit Standard" document and International Regulations B).Should the 75th percentile of this average (calculated with reference to the previous three years of the student’s academic  programme) be lower than 29/30, the threshold is set at the higher value between this percentile and the minimum ministerial requirement of 27/30. Should this percentile instead be equal to or higher than 29/30, the threshold is set at 29/30. A student's credit-weighted grade point average is calculated after discarding the worst grade acquired during the academic career. Achieving a minimum grade of 24 in all exams remains compulsory. The computation of benchmark averages for the cohort is carried out by the University without discarding any exams.
  • Minimum grade of 24/30 in any course, whether part of your university degree curriculum or the College programme.
  • At least 15 College credits per year acquired between September and June, maintaining a cumulative weighted GPA for College courses of no less than 27/30.
  • Minimum attendance of 80% for each activity within your Cultural Programme.
  • Regular meetings with your Academic Tutor (at least three meetings per year).
