Mauro Covacich (Trieste, 1965) is the author of the collection of short stories La sposa (Bompiani 2014, Strega Prize finalist) and of numerous novels.
With La Nave di Teseo he has published in a new edition his "cycle of the stars" - A perdifiato (2003), Fiona (2005), Prima di sparire (2008), A nome tuo (2011, from which Valeria Golino made the film Miele in 2013) , La città interiore (2017, finalist for the Premio Campiello), Di chi è questo cuore (2019) and L'avventura terrestre (2023).
He is also the author and performer of three monologues: Svevo, Joyce, Saba, produced by the Teatro Stabile Friuli Venezia Giulia.
In 1999, the University of Vienna awarded him the Abraham Woursell Award.
He lives in Rome.

Melanie Raabe was born in Jena, East Germany, in 1981.
After graduating in Communication Studies and Comparative Literature, she worked as a journalist and secretly wrote books at night.
In 2015 she published the novel Die Falle (The Trap), followed by Die Wahrheit (The Stranger) in 2016 and Der Schatten (The Shadow) in 2018. Not yet available in English are Die Wälder, 2019 (The Forests), and Die Kunst des Verschwindens, 2024 (The Art of Disappearing). Her novels are published in more than twenty countries and several film adaptations are in production from some of them. Melanie Raabe also runs a successful weekly podcast on the topic of creativity together with artist Laura Kampf, 'Raabe & Kampf'.
She is also a journalist and author of short stories and plays.
Melanie Raabe lives and writes in Cologne.

He was a war correspondent for newspapers, radio and television until 1994, when he decided to devote himself to literature.
His novels were translated into more than 40 languages and had numerous film adaptations.
In 1992 he received the Goya Prize, which was followed by, among others, the Jean Monnet Prize for European Literature (1997), the Prix Méditerranée Étranger awarded by the Académie Goncourt (2001), and the von Rezzori Prize (2008). In 1998 he was made a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters of France, and since 2003 he has been a member of the Real Academia Española, Spain's highest institution for language and literature.

Stevo Grabovac is a Bosnian writer. His latest novel, Poslije zabave [After the Party] won the 70th NIN prize, one of the most prestigious literary awards in the area of the former Yugoslavia.
Grabovac was born in 1978 in Slavonski Brod, in present-day Croatia, because the town of Bosanski Brod, where his family lived, lacked a maternity ward.
He worked various jobs, from bricklayer to porter and warehouse worker, and in the meantime he wrote short stories and poems published in several collections.
In 2007 he published the poetry collection Stanica nepostojećih vozova [The Station of the Non-existent Trains], and in 2019 he published his first novel Mulat albino komarac [A Mulatto, an Albino, a Mosquito], which won the 'Šušnjar' literary prize and was selected as a finalist for the NIN prize. At the centre of the novel is a narrative mosaic of traumas experienced and shared by an entire generation as a result of the war and the subsequent post-war period which reset hopes for the future. His second novel Poslije zabave [After the Party], focuses on a war crime that occurred in the summer of 1992 in Bosanski Brod.
Grabovac also writes about post-war Bosnia and the transitional period, the hypocrisy of the NGOs, and the corruption undermining any writer's art and position. He lives in Banja Luka where he works in a supermarket.
