Globalization is producing a growing interdependence of states, economies, societies, cultures, and people. The 1st International Summer School in Global Studies aims to offer an updated exposition of the most important trends that are affecting the process of globalization, from a multi-disciplinary perspective.
Through lectures and seminars, students will acquire the knowledge and competences for understanding the complexity of today’s global system and main implication for economic governance and policy. Moreover, a multidisciplinary laboratory on Staff and communication skills and on Emotional and social competences will allow participants to become familiar with the most important approaches to conflict management and leadership dynamics.
The Summer School also includes a “Country profile workshop”, where participants are required to actively participate in the analysis of the physical, political, economic and military profile of a Country of their choice.
The teaching staff includes lecturers from Ca’ Foscari University and the Maritime Military Studies Institute of the Italian Military Navy.
