Three fully-funded PhD positions available at VeDPH

Three fully-funded PhD positions available at Venice Centre for Digital and Public Humanities: Italian Studies, Ancient Heritage Studies, Digital/Public History

The Department of Humanities of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice is offering three PhD research grants in the field of Digital and Public Humanities starting in September 2020. 

1. Call for applications for a fully-funded PhD position in "Italian Studies" at the Venice Centre for Digital and Public Humanities (VeDPH), Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. 

Duration: 3 years.
Deadline: 27 May 2020, 1 pm CET.
Starting date: September 2020
Campus: Venice

This grant is reserved to a project connected to at least one of the main research topics covered by the PhD programme in Italian Studies and must involve use of Digital Text Analysis tools and of Digital Archives. Experimental and interdisciplinary research proposals will be also considered.

2. Call for applications for a fully-funded PhD position in "Ancient Heritage Studies" at the Venice Centre for Digital and Public Humanities (VeDPH), Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. 

Duration: 3 years.
Deadline: 27 May 2020, 1 pm CET.
Starting date: September 2020
Campus: Venice (administrative office), Trieste, Udine

This grant is reserved to a project focused in the field of Digital Humanities and the dissemination and sharing of research results (Public Humanities), in connection with at least one of the main research topics covered by the PhD Ancient Heritage Studies programme.

3. Call for applications for a fully-funded PhD position in "Digital and/or Public Humanities and History" at the Venice Centre for Digital and Public Humanities (VeDPH), Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. 
 
Duration: 4 years.
Deadline: 16 June 2020, 1 pm CET.
Starting date: September 2020
Campus: Padua (administrative office), Venice, Verona
 
This grant is reserved to a project of Digital Humanities and/or Public Humanities and History and is part of the broader project of excellence of the Department of Humanities at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice. The project focuses on the areas of competence of the “Digital Humanities” (DH) and “Public Humanities” (PH), the latter referring to public engagement and the dissemination of the research outcomes outside of the academic community.
