This is one of the electives courses within the Cina/Japan/Korea curricula of the Corso di Laurea in "Lingue, Culture e Società dell'Asia e dell'Africa Mediterranea" (economic-legal track). The course is aimed at providing a basic introduction to the main legal systems of East Asia in an historical-comparative perspective. Specific attention is devoted to Chinese and Japanese systems, but also the Korean and South-east Asian legal environment is broadly described.
By attending the course, stidents will acquire a series of basic notions on East Asian legal systems and will be able to frane their linguistic and cultural stydies within an appropriate institutional cnotest
The course has no pre-requisites
The course is an introduction to contemporary legal institutions of Asia, with specific reference to China, Japan and Corea. Specific attention will be devoted to Asian legal history and theory, constitutional organization and civil and comemrcial law
