The course will present the most important sociological theories and their developments
It will be analysed the most important concepts used to understand the links between economy and society.
Students should be able to:
- know the most important sociological theories and their evolutions;
- know the sociological concepts and be able to analyze the characteristics of contemporary society;
- understand the evolution of sociological concepts.
The course is at base level. The student doesn’t need of specific sociological knowledge.
The role of Sociology in the analysis of social phenomena;
Some sociological concepts: social actor, network and exchange, social capital and trust, identity and role, norms and power.
Basic concepts in the methodology of the social research.
