The course aims at providing the students with the basic knowledge to identify the economic and financial effects of firms’ operating, financing and investing activities in relation with international accounting standards (IFRS).
1 KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
Students have to know and understand the main critical areas when managing firms. At the end of this teaching course, the students will be able to:
- analyze and compare financial statements of firms;
- interpret the differences of their financial performance.
2 ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
Students have to apply their knowledge in real contexts trough the analysis of accounting data and to examine the managerial problems of firms. At the end of this teaching course, the students will be able to:
- compare the financial statements of firms with the application of financial statements analysis tools;
- give an evaluation on their financial performance.
The course requires to have understood and passed the PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT CONTROL SYSTEMS course.
