The course offers the possibility to deepen the issues of evaluation in public policies and social services.
Starting from examples, we will examine approaches and evaluation techniques
Through individual study, discussion in the classroom and some meetings with privileged witnesses - case studies, students will be able both to know the main issues related to the evaluation in the field of services and public policies, and some basic skills on methods and evaluation techniques
No previous subject is given as a prerequisite, although, it is highly recommended the attendancy at the course of Statistics. Minimum knowledge of the area of ​​interest and a strong motivation are essential to achieve the objectives of the course.

Each topic will be introduced by practical cases that will be discussed in the classroom. The teaching method is active, laboratorial and involves a strong involvement of the students (and a frequent attendance)

Attending students will be asked to write short papers during the course and a final one based on the results of a practical evaluation study
For those not attending the oral exam will focus on the reference texts (it is advisable to agree with the teacher which chapters will be specifically requested)
