The course is one of the educational activities characterizing the study program. Its objective is to provide students with the basic knowledge about the management of insurance companies and the operations of institutional investors and pension funds.
Knowledge and understanding:
1) Knowledge and understanding of the main management areas in insurance companies;
2) Knowledge and understanding of institutional investors;
3) Knowledge and understanding of pension funds.
Applying knowledge and understanding:
1) Ability to apply the knowledge to understand the operations of insurance companies;
2) Ability to use the knowledge to analyze savings instruments; the documents about complementary pension instruments;
3) Ability to use the knowledge to analyze pension instruments.
Making Judgments:
1) Ability to evaluate the impact of the regulations on the management choices of the insurance companies;
2) Ability to evaluate the options available for integrating the public pension;
3) Ability to evaluate yield-risk combination of savings instruments.
Basic knowledge about insurance products, financial markets and instruments.
1. Insurance companies:

- technical provisions and investments;
- risks and capital requirements;
- corporate governance;
- groups and financial conglomerates;
- financial statement and firm's performance;
- Distribution of insurance products.
2.Institutional investors:
- Collective investment undertakings;
- Asset management companies;
- Pension funds.
