Voices of the Reformation. Written, spoken, printed, painted and sung words in the German Reformation
The course (blended) aims to explore the different forms of communication processes in the Age of the German Reformation. It will focus on the main questions of the historiographic debate on a major topic of the studies on the German (and European) Reformation of the 16th century, by crossing different perspectives: social-history and anthropology, church- and religious history, history of the media and history of the book, gender history. Different kinds of primary and secondary sources will be analyzed: e.g., sermons, Reformators' writing, "Flugschriften", visual sources, songs
