The course aims to introduce the students to Social Works Theories from both theoretical and practical point of view. The main topics of this course include the social work theoretical paradigms, models and the interpretive categories of social problems. During the course will be considered on the depth the Social Work's History. It'll focus also how to develop contingent decision making capability for addRessing social problems. It'll be presented case studies and ethical dilemmas. The subjects will be presented with reference on major national and international issues on Social Work Approach.
At the end of the course the students will reach a fair knowledge of Social Work's theoretical bases, History and on the Deontological Code. They will be able to understand contemporary debates around Social Issues and they will develop a critical understanding of key categories in Social Work's Practice. They will link on Social Work's international main issues and they will be able to use technical terms.
There are no prerequisites for course attendance.

4. The Deontological Code;
5. The New Challenges for Post Modern Social Work,
6. The Social Work's New Approaches.

The testing of the professional knowledge shall be carried out by written examination.
Methods of Work: Lectures, Interactive exercitations, Study Cases and Role Playing.
