* The teaching language of this course is Korean and English.

This course falls within the characterizing teachings of the "Korea" curriculum of the course "Languages, Cultures and Societies of Asia and Mediterranean Africa".
Its formative objectives fall within the area of language skills learning.
1) Language knowledge and language comprehension:
Complete the knowledge of grammatical structures of Korean at the intermediate level.
Knowledge and understanding of the usage of grammatical structures of Korean at the intermediate level (CEFR Level B1+/B2)

2) Ability to apply language knowledge and comprehension:
Ability to identify grammar categories and their properties.
Demonstrate a general comprehension of Korean grammatical structures for intermediate level.
Ability to describe constructs and grammatical phenomena of Korean, acquired during the course.
Ability to make a correct use of terminology and basic tools of syntactic analysis acquired.
Having completed passed Korean Language 1.1 and 1.2
Here the grammatical structures studied in the second semester of Korean Language 2:

1 lesson - background or circumstance, in spite of
2 lesson - POSTNOUN, diminutive
3 lesson - was going to, after, while...ing, because of, adverbative form
4 lesson - causative, turns out, it would be best to, expressing intentions
5 lesson – ‘대로’ (according to/as soon as), the plain style, because of (2)
6 lesson - the copula transferentive
7 lesson - quotations(direct, indirect). quoted questions, suggestions, commands
8 lesson - the particle '으로' more meaning
9 lesson – retrospection ‘-던-‘
10 lesson - to the extend that, after (2), for the sake of something
11 lesson - more summative form (really it / does it both A and B / to be sure but / does nothing but)
12 lesson - is fairly...pretty, postmodifier '-지'(about time)
13 lesson - postmodifier '-지'(oblique question) with know/don’t know, with information
14 lesson - polite question form '-가요/-나요', review and summary(1)
15 lesson - review and summary (2)

Further materials will be distributed in class.
The exam consists of written and oral tests on grammatical forms, colloquial Korean, short compositions. The written test lasts about 90 minute.
Teacher-led classes and practice with native-speakers.

In order to pass the exam, students must obtain scores of 18 and above in all test. The final result will be the average of the scores obtained in Korean Language 2.1 and 2.2.
