The course supplies the basic statistical tools to know the nature and the structure of touristic demand with special attention to the seasonal component.
The theoretical approach will be accompanied with applied activities in order to learn the use of adequate statistical tools (sotware GRETL).
1. Knowledge and understanding
1.1 Ability to use statistical tools for the analysis of economic phenomena;
1.2 Ability to develop an overview of quantitative issues relevant to understanding economic dynamics.

2. Applying knowledge and understanding
2.1 Ability to interpret and represent the main economic phenomena related to market and tourism businesses;
2.2 Ability to select, estimate and verify regression multiple models.


3. Making judgements:
3.1 Ability to propose and comment different methods of forecasting tourist flows;
3.2 Ability to discuss the results obtained from the study of business cases.
