The course aims to provide students with the main conceptual and methodological tools related to the international economy, with regard to non-financial dimensions: international trade, productive internationalization, international mobility of productive factors. The aim of the course is to provide knowledge related to the international dimension in which all economic agents operate.
1) Knowledge and understanding
Acquire the basic concepts of the international economy and the related reference terminology.
Know the main models of analysis of the international economy.
Understand and critically consider the main economic policies concerning international trade and production.
Know and know how to use data related to the international economy.
2) Ability to apply knowledge and understanding
Use the concepts learned to interpret the evolution of policies, business strategies, the evolution of international geopolitical systems.
3) Ability to judge
Knowing how to formulate and argue interpretative hypotheses on the behavior of companies in an international context
4) Communication skills: the student must be able to synthesize the acquired knowledge in an efficient and coherent way.

For all students the exam consists of a written test, with open questions on the topics of the course. The test lasts 60 minutes and is aimed at verifying the acquisition by students of the basic concepts of the international economy, the main analytical models of the scientific literature, the ability to discuss national choices in the field of international economic policies, business strategies to compete on international markets.
The written test consists of 6 questions: the first 5, of which each is worth 4 points, require a synthetic answer on the topics mentioned above. The sixth question, which is worth 10 points, requires a more elaborate text on critical topics in the international debate.
The course is organized in frontal lessons. The final part of each lesson is intended for discussion in the classroom, in a manner consistent with the number of the class.
