The course allows students to acquire knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of educational technologies applied to general education and specifically to the teaching of modern languages. The aim of the course is to develop knowledge about the basic principles of learning theories, didactic models and technologies (formal and informal), highlighting the relationships of technologies with the stages of development, culture, gender and disability. The course foresees the application of these principles through the educational game, analogical and digital, as a transversal field of educational application for the learning and learning of modern languages.
Knowledge and understanding: demonstrate basic knowledge of educational technologies; learning theories, didactic models and technologies; relationships of technologies with the stages of development, culture, gender and disability, through educational applications of the game, analogical and digital.

Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: demonstrate that one can recognize, distinguish and identify the different theories, approaches and models underlying educational projects involving the use of technologies, through the examples presented during the course.

Autonomy of judgement: demonstrate critical processing skills based on the learning processes implemented with/through environments/methods/digital/technological instruments.

Communicative skills: demonstrate mastery of a basic specialist vocabulary of the discipline to communicate clearly and unambiguously with the main actors in the school environment (teachers, pupils, parents, school manager, school advisors, etc.).

Learning skills: demonstrate autonomy in the updating of teaching and educational technologies, in order to operate in a qualified way in future teaching and training work contexts.
For this course there are no prerequisites.
Basic principles of educational technologies. Learning theories, teaching models and technologies. Relationships between technologies and the stages of development, culture, gender and disability through educational applications of the game, analogical and digital, for language learning, in formal and informal.

Learning assessment will take place through a written exam consisting of multiple-choice questions and questions with short open answers. These questions cover both theoretical knowledge and practical reasoning acquired during the course, and the application of these skills to case studies.
The evaluation criteria of the short-answer questions on theory and reasoning are: (a) the accuracy of the theoretical information reported; (b) the appropriate use of the discipline's own language; (c) the validity of argumentation; (d) the ability to communicate and explain effectively.
Students regularly attending classes are offered the opportunity to take a test before the end of the course.
Conventional, interactive and educational activities through blended e-learning.

NOTE: In case the measures on containment and management of the epidemiological emergency by COVID-19 continue, the course will be delivered completely online.
