The teaching falls within the basic common ones of the degree course in philosophy and aims to provide students with the necessary methodological tools for a critical learning of the main historical-philosophical problems of the contemporary era, also in connection with other knowledge and areas of Research. In particular, the objectives of the teaching are aimed at acquiring understanding, knowledge and critical interpretation of the main philosophical texts of the contemporary age.
The course aims to provide an in-depth knowledge of the most important philosophers and historical and cultural contexts, the problems of the contemporary era and the increasingly close relationship between the various "specialist" knowledge.
For these reasons, the teaching task is to provide knowledge and form understanding skills so that the student can build a critical autonomy of judgment and correct linguistic and communicative skills.

The exam takes place in oral form. During the interview the student must demonstrate the ability to summarize and understand the fundamental themes covered in the course, an adequate philosophical language, and a good knowledge of secondary literature.
Frontal lesson wich makes use of seminar support and materials available on the University e-learning plattform.
