The course aims to increase students' understanding of the main principles of human resource management. Human resource management is crucial in the management of organizations and represents a fundamental link between management and employees. This course aims to understand what the mission of human resources is within an organization, to analyze the main HR management practices and to use the main theoretical frameworks and analytical tools to address the problems of managing people in organizations.
At the end of the course students are expected to be able to:
1) understand the characteristics and elements of a human resources manager in an organization, as well as the basic skills needed by any manager to manage their team;
2) examine the process of planning resources, recruiting, selecting and integrating people into the organization;
3) explore the critical role and challenges of employee development and skills;
4) understand the importance of aligning the organization with corporate strategy and culture;
5) be aware of the different compensation and reward systems.
6) have a first indication of the application of Human Resources theories applied to the corporate world.
Principles of management and international accounting (ET0078) is prerequisite for the students enrolled in the Degree course in Economia Aziendale curriculum Business Administration and Management (ENGL). Economia Aziendale is prerequisite for the students enrolled in the Degree course in Economia Aziendale curriculum Economia Aziendale (ITA)
Students are expected to have basic knowledge of strategic management and organization design
The course is aimed at an in-depth analysis of the main human resource management processes and a critical discussion of the contents.

- Recruiting and Selecting Employees
- Performance Management
- People Training and Development
- Managing compansation and Rewarding Employees
