The course is perfectly integrated into the overall context of the degree course, dealing with a subject - labor law - typically business and concerning the management of human resources. All the main aspects of the course of study are involved and valued in the study of labor law applied to the organization and management of the company, with particular reference to the ability to interpret the business scenario, make decisions regarding staff, manage uncertainty of the labor market, solving the problems of human resource management with awareness of the legal issues involved.
The expected results concern the knowledge of the organization of work and its legal problems, in order to be able to implement decisions regarding personnel, even in situations of uncertainty and / or reorganization of the company. The study of the powers of the employer, also developed in the international context, allows the acquisition of managerial skills in the field of personnel administration, with distinctive knowledge that only labor law is able to administer, guaranteeing the correctness of the analyzes and interpretations of the company context, decisions and problem solving actions applied to staff.
The prerequisites concern the knowledge of the basic institutes of private law and commercial law, in addition to the specific business / economic skills related to the management of the company and, in general, the organization of work and production, even in international and global contexts. .
The contents of the course concern employment contracts, with the choice between subordinated, quasi-subordinate and self-employment contracts, the employer's powers, the transfer of the company, individual dismissals, management of corporate crises with collective redundancies and use of the earnings integration fund, social security.

The assessment of learning takes place through an oral test, to verify the knowledge of legal institutions and the ability to reason, with solutions to case issues and prospects of problems related to the administration of work in the company.
The teaching method includes lectures and, if possible, the development of case law and / or business with working groups and presentation of results by teachers with written texts and power point presentations also to develop transversal skills.

This subject deals with topics related to the macro-area "Circular economy, innovation, work" and contributes to the achievement of one or more goals of U. N. Agenda for Sustainable Development
